Hayward Lakes Outdoor Report 4-7-25

Monday started the week with a low of 22 degrees and snow flurries, and Tuesday is on tap for 13 degrees with clear skies. Wednesday and Thursday have chances of rain, but temperatures warming into the 40s and 50s. Look for the weekend into Monday with highs in the 60s, though with chances for showers. Maybe spring DID arrive. Enjoy!

Hayward Lakes Outdoor Report 3-31-25

The Hayward area received about 5 inches or more of snow Saturday night thru Sunday, preceded by a coating of ice in varying thicknesses. The Monday forecast called for highs in the low 40s, followed by an additional 2-4 inches of snowfall Tuesday night thru Wednesday night, with mid-40s highs. This storm could include a rain/snow mix, ice, and freezing rain. Sunshine and 40-degree temperatures this week should make short work of the snow accumulations (the sooner the better this time of year!)

Hayward Lakes Outdoor Report 3-25-25

The Hayward area received an inch or so of snow Sunday night, though warm ground, sunshine, and 40-degree temperatures removed the greater portion of it by mid-afternoon Monday. The forecast indicates a very pleasant week with highs in the 40 and 50s, at least until Thursday night and through the weekend when rain and snow chances reappear. Spring is in session, but winter is stubbornly fighting its departure! Check the calendar below for activities in the coming weeks. Anglers and turkey hunters should be aware their 2024-25 licenses expire March 31.
