Hayward Lakes Area ... family vacation destination with crystal clear lakes, beaches and swimming locations. The Hayward Lakes Area is home to many crystal clear and blue waters. With lakes too numrous to count including the 17,000-acre Chippewa Flowage and its 200 miles of undeveloped shoreline, you'll find it hard to decide where to take a swim. The following are a list of public beaches open to everyone. If you would rather swim inside, the area also offers many motels that offer swimming for a fee.
