Race Proceeds Fund Worthwhile Projects
The Hayward Lions Club would like to thank all of you who have skied with us in the past and new skiers as well. The funds raised from this race go to a number of worthwhile service projects that reach from Hayward, Wisconsin to a number of points all over the globe.
Our club supports such local projects as the Hayward Food Shelf, the Anti-drug Quest program, and the Boy Scouts, as well as helping individuals who are in extreme need of assistance. We also support international projects such as the Journey for Sight and Leader Dog Program.
Your Pre-Birkie race proceeds have also been used to help the Club to build a multi-use log cabin/warming house at the Birkie trailhead at Fish Hatchery Road. New Hayward Library and the Eric Lowery Memorial Skate Park.
