Help Protect Hayward Area Waters and STOP Aquatic Hitchhikers!

So what can we do?
By following these four simple steps each time you leave the water, you can stop aquatic hitchhikers.

4 Steps to help stop aquatic hitchhikers

1. Remove any visible mud, plants, fish or animals before transporting equipment

2. Eliminate water from equipment before transporting

3. Clean and dry anything that came in contact with water (Boat, trailer, motor, net, fishing gear, swimming stuff, clothing, people, dogs, etc.)

4. Never release plants, fish, insects, or animals into a body of water unless they came out of that body of water.
